My family and I just returned from our two week vacation in Great Britain. We have never been out of the country nor have we been away for such a long stretch. We visited Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England. I can't wait to share what I learned.
I also look forward to hearing what you did over the summer. I hope you all have taken the time to read every day. Remember, if you are at the library, pick books that aren't too easy or too hard. Check out the Summer Book Review page to get a book that a friend read at the end of the year. Enjoy July!!!

Today, I gave out a book to each child that was purchased with funds provided by Mr. Bruker's church. The book belongs to them. I hope the books give each child many enjoyable readings for them and to share with others. A big shout-out thank you to Mr. Bruker!!

There is a new page up today called Summer Skills Practice. I have uploaded all the Math Facts Practice sheets that I use throughout the year to practice math facts fluency. We had a record year of mastery this year! Our first graders did a phenomenal job with the individual addition fact families. I know they will be equally as awesome as second graders. The key to fact fluency success is practice, practice, practice.
